2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 production numbers, specs, and price
The GMC Sierra EV Denali will be marketed as a 2024 model-year truck, and deliveries are planned to begin in early 2024. With that 2024 release date, customers will be getting the GMC Sierra Denali Edition 1 trim. According to Fox News, the Edition 1 trim will be the only trim available at first for the truck, and around 10,000 units are expected to be built in total.
GMC says the Sierra Denali EV is expected to produce around 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. This power brings a ton of capability to the table as well, with an estimated 9,500 lb towing capacity. This GMC EV has much more to offer than straight power, with an estimated 400-mile range on a full battery charge and a 10-minute fast-charge capability resulting in 100 miles of range. Unfortunately, these impressive specs come with a hefty price tag of $107,000 MSRP.
Customers are quick to buy the latest GMC model despite the price
Even though the GMC Sierra EV price is limiting for some, customers don’t seem to mind, as reservations were completely sold out within 15 minutes after the truck debuted. This EV pickup is bringing luxury, technology, and capability to the electric pickup truck market. Not only are the numbers impressive compared to standard gas-powered pickups, but the GMC Sierra EV is full of technology like GM’s Super Cruise, which uses facial recognition and an adaptive cruise control system to allow drivers to let their vehicle drive itself as long as the driver is paying attention to the road.
The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 also has a four-wheel steering system with a CrabWalk feature, making this pickup not only as heavyweight as a work truck but an offroading vehicle as well.
With gas-powered Denalis going for around $85,045 at the high end, consumers are quick to see the value behind paying a little bit more at $107,000 for a top-of-the-line, highly capable luxury EV pickup.
