According to Consumer Reports, the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe and the 2020 Honda Passport both make drivers happy. They both landed on the list of options with the highest satisfaction ratings. However, the Santa Fe seems to make drivers happier than the Passport.

The Hyundai Santa Fe ranks higher in areas of value and styling. You can get started with a 2020 Santa Fe for about $26,850. The 2020 Honda Pilot has an MSRP of about $32,250. So, that is a pretty hefty price difference.
The 2020 Santa Fe comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the turbocharged four-cylinder engine for 235 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque.
In the 2020 Passport, you get a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. So, it does come with more power. It can also tow up to 5,000 lb while the Santa Fe can only tow up to 3,500 lb.

Edmunds testest the Hyundai Santa Fe and Honda Passport. They noted that both SUVs have a firm ride with quiet cabins. The Passport could use a little more seat bolstering for comfort, and the Santa Fe automatic climate system can limit airflow.
While the Santa Fe has more than enough space, they rated the Passport as a better option for taller drivers. Both SUVs have a touchscreen that’s vibrant and easy to use with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Honda Passport has 50.5 cubic feet of cargo space and up to 100.7 cubic feet with the seats folded down. The Hyundai Santa Fe only has 35.9 cubic feet of cargo space with up to 71.3 cubic feet total.
Both SUVs offer plenty of standard safety features, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, and more. But at the end of the day, the Hyundai Santa Fe offers more car for less. You can’t beat its lower price, even though the Honda Passport has more space and power.
