We are still in 2020, but the 2021 Kia Seltos is already dominating the competition and taking home awards. One of its most accolades includes having the most value included for its price. So let’s see what the Kia Seltos has to offer. 

What Comes With The Kia Seltos? 

To get started in a 2021 Kia Seltos of your own, you don’t have to spend much. They start around $21k. 

For this price, you should expect to see the Chevy Trax or other compact SUVs. Instead, the Kia Seltos is better suited to compete with options like the Rav4 that is close to $26k. 

The Kia Seltos also has an excellent fuel economy included in its value. It gets up to 25 mpg in the city and up to 30 mpg on the highway. However, the Rav4 does get up to 35 mpg on the highway. 

Kia Seltos Performance 

The Kia Seltos has two engine options available. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine pumps out 146 horsepower, which is a notable upgrade from the Nissan Kicks that offers 122 horsepower.

However, we’re more interested in the 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine that pumps out 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This amount of power allows the Kia Seltos to tow up to 2,000 lb. 

Also, the Kia Seltos has an exciting acceleration. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in only 6.5 seconds. We wish the Jeep Renegade accelerated this way. 

The Kia Seltos does offer all-wheel-drive, making it more capable in the snow and for off-roading. However, we wish it had true four-wheel drive like the Jeep Renegade does. 

For off-roading, the Kia Seltos sits on 18” alloy tires and with a ground clearance around 7”. It also has two skid plates to protect the undercarriage. 

It has electronic stability control, hill-start assist control, a traction control system, and downhill brake control to make going down the trail to your campsite easier. 

Kia Seltos Features 

The Kia Seltos is receiving positive reviews for the amount of tech it has to offer. In the dash, you’ll find an 8” touchscreen infotainment center that can connect to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 

While you listen to your music, you’ll also enjoy the luxury feel of privacy glass, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, and more. 

There is enough room to fit up to four adults in the Kia Seltos comfortably. In the trunk, you can access up to 26.6 cubic feet of cargo space, and once you fold the seats down, you can access up to 63 cubic feet of cargo space total.
