The Mazda CX-3 has been officially ranked as the subcompact SUV with the most value for its price. That means you should go with this little SUV to get the most bang for your buck. It also has pretty good rankings in terms of comfort and performance. So, let’s take a look at the value that’s included.

Mazda CX-3 Value

You can get started in a brand new 2020 Mazda CX-3 for only $20k. That’s one attractive low price. Its competitors, such as the Nissan Kicks, starts around $18k, and the Hyundai Tucson starts around $23k.

The Mazda CX-3 also has an excellent fuel economy. It gets up to 29 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. This is better than the Tucson.

But the Kicks does get up to 31 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.

Mazda CX-3 Performance

The Mazda CX-3 has a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 148 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. This is pretty good for a compact SUV.

The Kicks only provides 122 horsepower, and with the Tucson, you can spend a little more on a higher trim option to have 181 horsepower.

Also, the Mazda CX-3 can tow up to 2,000 lb, making it a little more capable than the Tucson, which can tow up to 1,000 lb.

But best of all, the Mazda CX-3 has a faster acceleration than it’s competitors. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 8.2 seconds. The Kicks and Tucson take about 9.6 seconds to reach 60 mph.

If needed, higher trim options of the CX-3 are offered in all-wheel drive, allowing you to better navigate through snow and other slippery conditions. It’s only about an extra $1,400 to gain the option AWD feature.

With the AWD feature, you gain access to Mazda’s i-ACTIV technology, which automatically adjusts the torque and braking power to help you remain in control in slippery conditions.

We also like the fact that the Mazda CX-3 comes on 16” alloy wheels. The smaller wheel size will provide a smoother ride around town.

Mazda CX-3 Features

The Mazda CX-3 has a premium leather stitched interior for comfortable seating and a simple, luxurious feel.

Behind the rear seat, you can access up to 17.8 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold the seats down to access up to 60 cubic feet of space.

The 7” infotainment center sits nicely at the top of the dashboard. Use Mazda Connect to display all of your essential apps while remaining hands-free.

Also, the Active Driving Display places the navigation system behind the steering wheel, so directions are easier to see without having to take your eyes off the road.

Of course, the Mazda CX-3 has all of the standard safety features such as forward collision prevention and lane departure assistance to keep you and your passengers safe.

However, it also has automatic high beam control. This system automatically sets your lights on low beam when it senses oncoming traffic. That’s pretty neat!

So, the value included in the Mazda CX-3 is a sophisticated design and luxurious interior, advanced safety features, premium power, and more. It clearly is the subcompact SUV that gives you the most for it’s more than fair price.
