We already know that the 2021 Chevy Tahoe is coming with some fantastic upgrades, but what about its big brother, the 2021 Chevy Suburban? Will it also be bigger, better, and more powerful? Let’s take a look at what we know so far. 

2021 Chevy Suburban Expectations 

We hope that the 2021 Chevy Suburban remains on track to go on sale in the middle of 2020, but COVID 19 may cause some delays. 

Also, we do know that the new Chevy Suburban will start around $52k. We don’t have the price for the new Chevy Tahoe yet, though.

The Suburban is going to compete against the Ford Expedition Max and other massive SUVs. So, the base model price is pretty competitive as the 2020 Expedition Max starts around $55k. 

However, the High Country edition, which is the highest trim option for the 2021 Suburban, will raise the price to $74k. 

This higher price tag will come with ample power with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower. All other models will have a 5.3-liter V8 engine that pumps out 335 horsepower. Both of these engines will be a 10-speed automatic. 

However, later we should see a 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel inline-six engine that produces an estimated 227 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. So no matter which option you choose, you will have enough power and capabilities to get the job done. 

The Chevy Suburban Will Be Bigger 

The Suburban is growing in size. It will be 1.3” inches longer than the 2020 model with an extra 4.1” inches between the wheelbase. 

This extra space increases the cargo space to a total of 144.7 cubic feet. Therefore you can take everything, including the kitchen sink with you. It’s an incredible increase of 19% of cargo space. 

Plus, the third row of seats will provide 10” of extra legroom. Your entire family will have the space to spread out. 

The Chevy Suburban Will Be More Comfortable 

The Chevy Suburban is getting a new independent suspension in the rear to create a smoother ride. 

Its extended wheelbase will also provide a smoother ride for you and your passengers, which takes care of complaints with previous models. 

Rumor has it that the Chevy Suburban will have the air suspension lift like the Chevy Tahoe. Meaning you can instantly lift or lower the cab by 4” to suit your needs. 

2021 Chevy Surburban Features 

The 2021 Suburban will have a new 360 view camera so you can see all around your giant SUV. This will make parking and navigating in and out of tight spots much more straightforward. 

Plus, the interior is getting a new 10” infotainment center that sits higher up on the dash, making it easier to see. When screens are sunken into the dash, it takes attention away from the road. 

Also, the Chevy Suburban will have updated safety features that include forward collision prevention, lane departure assistance, and more. 

We can’t wait for more information to come out about this massive SUV. Until then, we can enjoy the Silverado, Tahoe, and other massive beasts.
