The New 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid Will Be Another Win for Kia
I think I can speak for most of us when I say that we aren’t sad to be seeing 2020 coming to an end. While there are still a few months left, we are all looking to put this year behind us, and for the automotive industry, that means something exciting. Over the coming months, we will see the latest 2021 models hit the dealership lots, and if you’re on the subscription lists for fans paying close attention to the Kia Telluride, you should know that the 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid will be another winning car under Kia’s belt.
Another great SUV for Kia
The Kia Sorento is already a great SUV that many owners love. Add on the increasingly positive overview many consumers have of the Kia brand due to their newest icons like the Kia Stinger and the Kia Telluride and you could say that Kia is a little bit more than the up-and-coming manufacturer. Long gone are the days of the more modest Kia Spectra and other less interesting models. The new 2021 Kia Sorento Hybrid will have you hooked after the first test drive.
The Kia Sorento will surprise you
The 2021 Kia Sorento might not look like much on the outside — okay, it looks great, actually — but the inside will still surprise you. The artistically-stitched leather-wrapped seats might be enough to convince you that Kia is making its way headfirst into the world of luxury vehicles. Even more surprising, there is even a third row of seats to make this SUV even more practical. The two pilot seats mean access to the rear seats is quick and easy. No more fighting with children’s car seats and leaning seats forward to squeeze in.
The hybrid drivetrain
According to Kia themselves, the new Sorrento won’t leave you disappointed no matter what engine package you pick, but, of course, the hybrid is a little bit of something special. The best option is the plug-in hybrid version, but there is a more standard hybrid drivetrain as well. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine is boosted by a turbocharger and supported by the option of a plug-in 66.9kW motor that provides 261hp on an impressively-practical all-wheel-drive setup, and it can get an estimated 30 mile range on electric-only.
Of course, you can opt for the same gas-powered engine combined with a 44kW motor that doesn’t have a plug-in charger. It might be less convenient but it still offers drivers as much as 227hp but sacrifices the all-wheel-drive system for a front-wheel-drive platform.
If you are looking for your first hybrid or just another one in your collection, there is no way you will be disappointed with the 2021 Kia Sorrento Hybrid. If we have learned anything from Kia over the past few years, it’s that you can get an affordable SUV that has everything you are looking for.
