The New Ford Bronco Invites You to Spend the Night Camped Out Under the Stars
Hands up if you like car camping. Hands up if you need another reason to reserve a Ford Bronco for yourself. If both your hands are up, then boy do we have some good news for you. Ford announced some nifty Bronco features that car campers will be sure to enjoy. Opt for the four-door Bronco with the optional slide-out tailgate and, as it turns out, the Ford Bronco is big enough to sleep in. Outfit it with the right top, and you can even spend the night gazing up at the stars in it.
The Ford Bronco’s newly available slide-out tailgate is perfect for stargazing
There is plenty of space to cozy up in the Ford Bronco. With the front seats positioned forward, it boasts a total of seven feet, six inches of diagonal space for one camper to stretch out and get comfortable. And if there are two people on your camping trip? The Bronco offers six feet, six inches of length with the tailgate closed. And if that doesn’t feel like enough space? Opt for the available slide-out tailgate, which increases the diagonal length to eight feet, nine inches.
As for stargazers? The 2021 Ford Bronco four-door offers a variety of tops that make open-air adventures both quick and easy to enjoy. Choose the retractable soft-top or the lightweight hardtop, both of which can be removed to reveal the 13.3 square foot open top, to enjoy the view up above.
It provides plenty of space for all of your camping gear too
And if hauling gear to the campsite is your main priority? Not to worry. The 2021 Ford Bronco has got you covered there too. Opt for the standard four-door soft top Bronco and enjoy 83 cubic-feet of cargo space with the second-row seats folded down. As for the two-door Bronco, it offers a spacious cargo area with 52.3 cubic-feet of space with the second-row seats folded down and a maximum length of 46.1 inches.
According to Ford, there’s room to store your gear up top too. Hit up your local Ford dealership once the Bronco arrives next year, and pick from more than 200 Ford licensed accessories, including Platform roof carriers and Heavy Duty (HD) two-person tents by Yakima.
Gear up for a weekend of camping with the Ford Bronco
In the end, Bill Mangan, Bronco chief interior designer, says that the “Bronco is designed to be more than just the rugged 4×4 that gets you there, but also the destination in itself.”
“You can have fun all day running in the desert sands or crawling along rocky trails – and at the end of the day, it’s your base camp and place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors,” Mangan added.
Mangan isn’t wrong either. While the Bronco is capable of taking on rocky and uneven terrain, it’s also comfortable enough to spend the night in. Whether that means outfitting it with a couple of sleeping bags for a weekend camping trip or enjoying a date night staring up at the stars, the new Ford Bronco is ready and waiting to accompany you on your next adventure.
