The New Ford Bronco Might Not Be as Unique as it Seems
The new Ford Bronco could potentially be the most talked about car of the year. There was a lot of hype and expectations surrounding the re-release of the iconic SUV. To some fans, the vehicle more than lived up to our hopes and dreams and featured some modern redesigning that the car desperately needed. To others, the Ford Bronco is a little less of the classic designs we’ve known and loved. No matter what your opinion on this revamped SUV, there are a few features that aren’t as unique as they seem.
The new Ford Bronco
There is nothing quite as satisfying as bringing an already well-loved vehicle back to life. The new design for the Ford Bronco is fresh and modern, combining the features and options that you’d expect from a brand new SUV in 2020 with a few throwback touches. It joins a line up of cars that are brought back into production after some time off, including the new Toyota Supra. The Supra was pretty controversial, but is the Bronco?
There have been plenty of jokes going around comparing the new Ford Bronco to the discontinued Toyota FJ Cruiser or even some models of Jeep, and that could be because they do have some striking similarities. We wouldn’t be too surprised to find out that these cars were the inspiration for the new Bronco based on some of these other popular off-road ready options, despite some initially wild design ideas, per Motor1.
Somewhat unique designs
Comparing Ford’s newest SUV to the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Jeep Wrangler and it almost looks like it has the best designs from both of them. Smooth but boxy body lines mimic the FJ. The door and window design look very similar to that of the Jeep Wrangler. If you parked all of them next to each other it would almost look like the FJ Cruiser and Wrangler were combined to make the Ford Bronco, and you wouldn’t be wrong in saying so.
Regardless of the uncanny resemblances, the Ford Bronco does have a lot of unique features that keep us talking. Although it isn’t as original as we could have hoped and it doesn’t share as much of a resemblance with the original Bronco, the upgrades make the SUV look more modern. With just as much practicality and off-road capability as the original Bronco, the new one will definitely be a force to be reckoned with.
