The Nissan Rogue Is Getting Exactly What It Needs
There’s good news if you want to go Rogue in the wilderness. While the Nissan Rogue is a well-rounded SUV that gives the Toyota RAV4 a run for its money, it’s missing an off-roading trim. However, the Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition is about to level the playing field.
What you need to know about the Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition
While reviewing the 2024 Nissan Rogue, I had a great experience. It’s modern, comfortable, and athletic enough to make daily errands more fun.
However, I was a little disappointed by the lack of off-roading features, when rivals like the Hyundai Tucson XRT and Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road.
But my plea for a more rugged Rogue has been answered. The Nissan Rogue Rock Creek model is officially on the way.
Nissan is being tight-lipped about the details at the moment, but I do know that we can expect to see a roof rack and chunky tires. It will be built to fight the Honda Passport TrailSport, which is a worthy foe.
It will probably have things in common with the Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek model, which had the stones to tackle the Rebelle Rally, along with the Passport TrailSport.
The Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition rides on 18-inch black-painted beadlock-style black alloy wheels, a black tubular roof rack, a unique grille design, and grille inserts. Rock Creek badging completes the exterior style.
The interior features unique faux-leather bucket seats that are water-resistant. Bading and orange accent stitching help them pop.
Also, the most exciting addition includes the 360-degree trail view camera and the Off-Road driving mode.
But I’m hoping the Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edtion takes things a step further. It would be a lot cooler with a suspension lift, tow hooks, skid plates or protective cladding, and additional terrain modes.
It already has hill descent control, but hill start assist would sweeten the pot. While I’m on this tangent, I’d like to see a new hybrid engine emerge, but there aren’t any clues suggesting that one is coming.
The Rogue Rock Creek trim will arrive by the end of the year for 2025. It should be available during the first quarter of 2025, so it will be here before we know it.
