2019 Hyundai Elantra

Consumer Reports states, “The Hyundai Kona is playful and inexpensive, making it one of the more appealing subcompact SUVs.” So if you’re looking for something small that has great safety features and a starting price under $20,000, the Kona may be for you.

2019-20 Hyundai Palisade

According to Kelley Blue Book, “Where some basic SUVs are truly ‘basic,’ it is possible to buy the least expensive Hyundai Palisade and be totally happy. A robust standard feature list, enticing base price, and eye-catching style give the Palisade potent allure versus the competition.”

So what makes the Palisade so great that Kelley Blue Book raves about it? Auto NXT reports that for starters, the Palisade offers lane-keeping assist, rear view monitor, high-beam assist, forward collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, and driver-attention warning.

Like most Hyundai models, the more expensive trims like the SEL and Limited have more features like blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance and safe exit assist. The good news is that all the trim packages include front-wheel-drive.

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe

While the Santa Fe didn’t earn as many safety ratings from IIHS as other models, it still has great features that are worth considering if you’re on the lookout for an SUV.
