The Safest Mercedes-Benz Models of 2019 Prove You Don’t Have to Sacrifice Luxury for Safety
Every Mercedes-Benz vehicle comes with a slew of safety technology. In fact, out of 30 new vehicles that received a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an impressive four of them belong to Mercedes-Benz.
To earn this grade, new cars must receive “Good” ratings (the highest available IIHS rating) in roof strength, head restraint, driver-side small overlap front, and moderate overlap front tests. New cars must also earn a “Good” headlight rating or an Advanced or Superior rating for front crash prevention to earn the Top Safety Pick+ distinction.
