And though it didn’t rank among the top cars on the list, iSee Cars reports that 1.3% of Highlander SUVs will last upwards of 200,000 miles.

Do you know which vehicle ranked among the longest-lasting cars on the list? The Toyota Highlander Hybrid. In fact, according to iSee Cars, the Highlander Hybrid is the longest-lasting hybrid SUV. iSee Cars reports that an impressive 4.2% of Toyota Highlander Hybrid models will make it to 200,000 miles, just over twice the average for a similar vehicle. 

But those numbers shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. As it turns out, Toyota offers the longest-lasting hybrids. The Toyota Prius also ranked on iSee Cars’ list of longest-lasting hybrid cars. With 2.0% of models surpassing 200,000 miles, it’s safe to say that Toyota knows how to make a hybrid.

Is the Highlander better than its hybrid counterpart?

But does that make the Highlander Hybrid a better SUV than the Toyota Highlander? Not necessarily. If you’re looking for plenty of power under the hood, the gas-powered Highlander is likely the better choice. The Highlander is also significantly cheaper than its hybrid counterpart. But if you’re in the market for a long-lasting hybrid SUV? Then you really can’t go wrong with the Highlander Hybrid.
