The 2.4-liter four-cylinder base engine provides 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. You can also upgrade to the 3.2-liter V6 engine with 270 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. And last but not least, the big daddy engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine for 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
You can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds in the Jeep Cherokee, which is fair compared to rivals like the Toyota RAV4. Edmunds also praised the Jeep Cherokee for having a sporty and smooth drive with excellent off-roading capabilities too.
