When it comes to speeding, most of us imaging going 10mpg over the speed limit, making a zippy acceleration from a red light or cruising down the interstate going over 90mph. Very few times in our life does an average driver imagine going over 100mph, but what about 200mph? How about 300mph? These hypercars push the limits of design and engineering to achieve a ranking as the fastest cars in the world.

Hennessy Venom F5

The Hennessy Venom F5 is a surprisingly street-legal hypercar with crazy power output and design. A twin-turbocharged 6.6L V8 mid-engine motor pushes this car to over 300mph with it’s 1,817hp and 1,193lb-feet of torque. Weighing just under 3,000lbs the body is made entirely of carbon fiber.

SSC Tuatara

The SSC Tuatara is a lesser-known car with striking features and power. This 1,750hp spaceship looks like a hypercar of the future, and with a 5.9L V8 motor complemented by a twin-turbocharged setup pushes this 2,750lb car over 300mph.

Koenigsegg Jesko

It’s no surprise that Koenigsegg makes this list. The Koenigsegg Jesko, named after the manufacturer’s father, Jesko Von Koenigsegg, is both an incredible work of art as well as engineering. Pushing a top speed of 278mph from a 5.0L V8 twin-charged engine, this 3,131lb hypercar boasts 1,603hp on E85 fuel.

Another monstrous beauty from Koenigsegg is the Agera RS. An exquisite mixture of smooth and aggressive lines, this hypercar was designed with aerodynamics in mind. Pushing 285hp as a top speed with 1160hp output from the 5.0L V8 motor and this $2.6 million car is guaranteed to leave a smile plastered on your face.

Bugatti Veyron Super Speed

Of course, we saved the most obvious for last. You didn’t think we forgot about Bugatti, did you? Bugatti is known for producing some of the fastest cars, and they haven’t disappointed us yet. This almost $2 million beauty also costs an average of $20,000 a year in annual maintenance alone. The beautiful carbon fiber body wraps around a 1,200hp motor to push this hypercar upwards of 267mph.
