These Are The Most Reliable Luxury SUVs of 2020
Luxury cars are sought after for their top of the line quality, technology, and comfort. All the amenities will definitely cost you, though. If you are going to spend the extra cash for the upgraded vehicle, you want to know that what you’re investing in is worth it. If you buy a luxury SUV, you’ll want to know it’s reliable. This is a list of 2020’s most reliable luxury SUVs, according to Consumer Reports.
From Lexus to Porsche, reliability is a paramount concern even among the most elite auto brands. Perhaps even more so, since the cars are more expensive. Buying a car can be nerve racking, so it’s nice to know whether or not the auto of your choice is, in fact, reliable.
The 2020 Lexus UX, the 2020 Lexus NX, the 2020 Porsche Cayenne, and the 2020 Lexus GX, each earned a five out of five for predicted reliability. They are the most reliable entry-level, compact, and midsized luxury SUVs of 2020.
The 2020 Lexus UX
The Lexus UX is the most reliable luxury entry level SUV, according to CR. It’s number one overall in its class and received an impressive review, in addition to its five out of five predicted reliability score.
The 2020 UX received an overall score of 80. It gets an average of 37 miles to the gallon and it starts between $32,300 – $39,700. This is affordable luxury at its finest. This Lexus UX is versatile and efficient with a price tag that puts luxury within reach for many more potential buyers than some of the more expensive luxury models.
The 2020 Lexus UX isn’t perfect, though. CR loved the standard safety features of this small SUV. However, the review was deliberate in mentioning the cramped interior.
The 2020 Lexus NX
The Lexus NX of year 2020 is the most reliable compact SUV on the luxury list. It is the second best car in its class of luxury compact SUVs, scoring another 80 for overall score.
This Lexus SUV gets an average of 24 mpg and its starting price ranges from $36,870 – $46,510. The Lexus NX got knocked for its limited visibility, but praised for its agile handle.
The 2020 NX’s five out of five predicted reliability goes way back, too. It has received a five out of five from CR every single year since it began production in 2015. Reliable or not, CR doesn’t foresee owners loving their Lexus NX.
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne
The 2020 Cayenne earned an impressive 88 scoring overall by CR. It’s first overall in its class with very positive CR reviews. The 2020 Porsche Cayenne costs between $66,800 – $164,400. It gets an average of 21 mpg, according to CR.
The options on this Porsche can easily rack up a hefty price tag. But it backs itself up with those reliability scores. Another five out of five predicted reliability earner, the Porsche Cayenne of 2020 is praised for its comfort and quality by CR. However, CR didn’t like the uneven feeling facilitated by the power delivery.
The 2020 Lexus GX
This year’s Lexus GX goes for $53,000 – $64,265 and it gets an average of 17 mpg –– according to CR. Though it’s fifth from the top overall for 2020 luxury SUVs, it’s number one for predicted reliability with its score of five out of five.
This midsize luxury SUV earned an overall score of 79, most likely largely in part by its low fuel economy. Another 2020 Lexus SUV that shows a history for predicted reliability, the Lexus GX is praised for its off-road capabilities. However, the 2020 Lexus GX is said to have “clumsy handling” as well as a low max towing capacity than its competitors.
