The 2021 Ford F-150 

The Ford F-150 has long been known for its impressive towing capabilities. Now in the 2021 model year, the Ford F-150 is still one of the most capable pickup trucks in its segment. Opt for the F-150’s available 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and the Max Trailer Tow Package, and this year’s F-150 can easily tow more than 10,000 pounds. In fact, the 2021 Ford F-150 can tow a maximum of 14,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The 2021 Chevy Silverado HD

If you thought that the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 was strong, then prepare to be really impressed by the Chevy Silverado HD. While the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD boasts a maximum towing capacity of up to 18,510 pounds, the Chevy Silverado 3500 HD is able to tow a maximum of 36,000 pounds when properly equipped. Add in towing technologies like a comprehensive suite of cameras and a segment-first Advanced Trailering System, and this pickup makes for a great choice if you’re after a truck that can tow more than 10,000 pounds.

The 2021 Ford Super Duty 

According to Ford, the 2021 Ford Super Duty boasts the best maximum available gas conventional tow rating in its segment. Ford isn’t wrong either. When it comes to towing more than 10,000 pounds, the Ford Super Duty is an absolute beast. According to Car and Driver,  the strongest Super Duty is more than capable of towing up to 24,200 pounds when outfitted with a conventional trailer hitch. And if that’s not enough brawn for you, opt for a Super Duty with a fifth-wheel and a gooseneck hitch you can expect the Ford Super Duty to haul an impressive 37,000 pounds.

The 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 

While the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 can’t tow quite as much as other pickups on the list, it can tow more than 10,000 pounds when properly equipped. Opt for the GMC Sierra 1500’s available 6.2-liter V8 engine, and this truck can tow approximately 11,800 pounds. Keep in mind, however, that you will need to opt for a GMC Sierra 1500 equipped with the available Max Trailering Package to achieve such a high towing capacity too.
