With many businesses and schools closing for the remainder of the month, you may not find yourself refilling your tank as much as possible, but that doesn’t mean you won’t need to. These cars offer the best gas mileage to help you minimize those gritty gas station stops.

Tesla is well known and loved for electric and hybrid vehicles, and they pride themselves on great gas mileage and long-range. On battery alone, the 2020 Model 3 can range from 250 miles to 322 miles, which is enough to get you around town and home to recharge without ever needing to refill your gas tank.

2020 Hyundai Electric Ioniq

The Hyundai Electric Ioniq gets some pretty impressive gas mileage, with a reported 145 miles per gallon in the city and 121 miles per gallon on the highway. The Ioniq can drive up to 170 miles using just the electric motor, so you have a pretty good chance of making it work – if your office is still open – or the grocery store and back home to put it on the charger without ever even using the gas engine.

2020 Chevrolet Bolt

The Chevy Bolt is an unrated and spunky electric vehicle with a starting price of around $36,620. This little car is compact and fuel-efficient, getting up to 127 miles per gallon in the city and an average of 108 miles per gallon on the highway. The car can travel up to 259 miles on just the electric motor, expending almost no gas. So, as long as you can make it home or to a charging station before you run out of range – which chances are unless you traveling, you will, you can avoid gas stations for the next few weeks altogether.

You’ve probably noticed that all of these cars can run exclusively on electric motors. Most of them have enough range on fully electric power that you would be able to get out and around town, returning home to recharge without ever needing to use the combustion motor of the hybrid options. This means that theoretically, you might not even find yourself reaching for those unsanitized gas nozzles any time soon, and that’s just one less health risk you’ll have to take.
