Lamborghini produces arguably the best sports cars with the highest-quality features, coveted by elite sports stars and other power players. The 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO is no exception. This supercar exudes strength and style, whether traveling on the track or sitting on a lot.

The folks at MotorTrend got their hands on a 2020 Huracán EVO. Overall, it met their expectations. But there were a few exceptions.

The 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO at a glance

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO offers the cream of the crop in performance, styling, and interior features for a relatively reasonable $267,000. This mid-engine beast is an all-wheel-drive model that runs on a V10 engine harnessing 630 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.

The powerful motor, matched with a seven-speed twin-clutch automatic, has so much gusto that it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.5 seconds. Braking distances are top-notch as well. It can go from 60 to 0 in only 93 feet.

The interior isn’t as spacious as one would like, even for a performance car. Thanks to the Huracán EVO’s stellar aerodynamics, the cabin suffers. Don’t expect to haul a passenger and luggage on a trip because there’s next to nothing in cargo space.

But the seats are comfortable. They come in one of three options. You can choose high-quality leather, Alcantara (a soft suede-like material), and Lamborghini‘s newest offering, carbon skin (carbon-fiber material).

The dashboard is also attractive. However, there’s one tech feature that MotorTrend said is “impossible to use while driving.”

The frustrating Huracán EVO feature

The 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO’s infotainment display disappointed MotorTrend’s reviewers. On a positive note, the Huracán boasts an 8.4-inch touchscreen installed in the center console for easy access. It offers plenty of connectivity, including Apple CarPlay and navigation programs.

However, the interface makes the infotainment system virtually unusable. “The iPad-sized touchscreen in the center console is full of indecipherable alien petroglyphs and is impossible to use while driving,” MotorTrend reported.

The odd icons for each application are just too strange. There’s no way you can figure out what each icon means while you’re focusing on the road. You’re better off setting up what you need before you take off.

Other thoughts on this Lambo

It’s hard not to like the 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO. Its power and precise handling impress even the staunched critics. It’s proven itself with its cornering grip and quick steering response.

A few things could use improvement, though. Sure, the sweet sounds of the signature revving engine and gear-shifting transmission are music to the ears. But this Lambo also makes some annoying noises. Something in the passenger door distracted with its rattling, MotorTrend reported. It was really noticeable when going over bumps in the road.

One reviewer felt the brakes begin to fade after a few laps around the track. They thought maybe it was due to the brakes being so new.

The lack of cargo space deducted another point from the Huracán EVO’s score. However, MotorTrend jokingly pointed out you could use the passenger seat for storage if you’re alone.

The 2020 Lamborghini Huracán EVO offers almost everything you’d want in an exotic sports car. Just be sure to keep your eyes on the road instead of the infotainment touchscreen.
