This Fast and Furious “Dumbest Lines” Video is the Nostalgic Comedy You Need
Every modern car enthusiast has watched the Fast and Furious movies — if not all of them, at least the original. The movie franchise has done an amazing job of shaping modern car culture and even heavily influencing shows and affecting the prices of certain cars, like the Toyota Supra and Honda S2000. If you are an avid fan of the Fast and Furious movies, you know there are plenty of cringe-worthy lines, and lucky for us Donut Media has made a comical compilation of some of the worst (or, maybe they are the best, depending on how you look at it) lines from each of the movies.
How the Fast and Furious changed car culture
The cars featured in the Fast and Furious movies are still just as popular today as they ever were. The Toyota Supra, Honda S2000, and many other cars featured in the original movies still hold a surprising amount of value, and while the average driver might not look twice at these older cars as they make their way down the highway, Fast and Furious fans know just how cool they really are.
In the early 2000s, custom cars were more popular than ever, and part of that is due to the Fast and Furious movies. Bright paint schemes with eccentric details and obnoxious, over-the-top builds skyrocketed in popularity, and we still see many out today.
Iconic movie lines
There are some movies out there that are just known for having a ton of quotable lines, and the Fast and Furious movies are just the same. Each movie features personable characters with awkwardly placed car jargon that doesn’t always make sense or weird phrases that have become inside jokes within the car community.
“What would be a better motor for my Skyline: a Gallo 12 or a Gallo 24?…. I didn’t know pizza places made motors.”
Paul Walker as Brian O’Conner, 2 Fast 2 Furious
The Fast and Furious franchise has some iconic lines that are still heavily referenced in modern-day culture, especially among custom car enthusiasts. While we look back on the earlier movies with a feeling of nostalgia, we can’t help but get a bit of a chuckle out of how cringy some of the lines actually were.
We love it regardless
While a lot of the iconic lines in the movie are actually pretty cringe-worthy, it doesn’t stop us from using them regularly. For many of us, the Fast and Furious movies are ingrained into a car culture that keeps us motivated to build faster cars with cooler customizations year after year. If you’re looking for a bit of a pick-me-up this late in the workweek, this Donut Media video highlighting some of the most iconic and awkward lines from the Fast and Furious movies will make you feel nostalgic and even a bit embarrassed if you find yourself dropping some of these references on the regular.
