U.S. News puts out an annual list of “Best Midsize Cars,” and for 2020, the Ford Fusion is ranked at No. 5. They reviewed cars on the basis of comfort, space, performance, and fuel economy, as well as price. They liked Ford Fusion for all those reasons and more. The reviewers’ main favorite features were its athletic handling, smooth ride, roomy trunk, interior comfort, and all of the options that come with the available SYNC 3 infotainment system.

While a lot of sedans in this class skimp on trunk space, the 2020 Ford Fusion has plenty. 16 cubic feet of trunk space means there is room for four golf bags or a dozen shopping bags. Reviewers liked the interior space overall, but some thought there could be more headroom. The seats are comfortable and supportive in both the front and back, even on long drives. 

A few things they didn’t like were the fact that the 2020 Ford Fusion doesn’t have the best fuel economy compared to its rivals. Additionally, they thought the engine could be peppier, and the interior was nice but not as upscale as some competitors when it came to materials. They noticed a big difference in quality levels between the lower trim levels and the higher ones.

One area where the 2020 Ford Fusion shines is with standard safety features. A system Ford calls Co-Pilot is packed with high-tech safety and driver-assist features to help you safely navigate today’s roads. There’s a blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, a lane-keeping system, automatic high-beams, pre-collision assist, and a rearview camera.

According to U.S. News, buyers shouldn’t overlook the 2020 Ford Fusion in the midsize sedan field. It may not be the biggest conversation starter, but this vehicle offers tons of great features and solid good looks for the price.
