The 2020 Chevy Impala is officially the final production year for the popular vehicle, and for a car that has as much history and reputation, it is truly sad to see it go. Lucky for us, these reliable machines will continue to be available on the used car market and collector auction blocks for some time to come.
From the start
The first Chevy Impala hit the market in 1957 as a family-friendly and affordable car. In 2000 the car became mid-sized, making it a great option for many different drivers of various needs. You could rely on the Impala to be a reliable daily driver after hundreds and thousands of miles and also be a safe option for a first-time driver. There were a lot of things that made the Chevy Impala a great sedan in its many production years.
Recent history
Chevrolet originally announced the end of production for the Impala in 2019 and continued to produce its final model year for 2020. As the year comes to a close and 2021 models hit the lot, you won’t be seeing any more new Chevy Impalas.
