Americans are obsessed with their pickup trucks for getting tough jobs done quickly and efficiently. Van makers have been aware of this trend for quite some time. Some companies are finding design inspiration from European models to achieve the utmost comfort and reliability. The Mercedes Sprinter is a perfect example of combining a workhorse with the luxurious features of a high-end vehicle. The towing capacity doesn’t compare to that of a heavy-duty truck, but when it comes to hauling, a van is second to none.

Offering class-leading performance, this year’s interior of the Mercedes Sprinter is comparable to the upscale Mercedes GLB-Class, and the auto industry is taking notice.

Dedication to interior quality

The original Mercedes Sprinter van was designed from the ground up for the purpose of transporting passengers and carrying cargo. The Mercedes Sprinter evolved into a luxurious van, competing with the likes of the Ford Transit and Ram ProMaster.

In 2019, the third generation Mercedes began offering several Sprinter van variants. A cargo van, crew van, chassis cab, and passenger van fit every conceivable need of consumers. Three engine options, which include a diesel V6, and two transmission choices made the Mercedes Sprinter a worthy contender among other vans.

With a dedicated focus on interior quality, the Mercedes Sprinter is continually outperforming other vans in its class.

Interior features of the Mercedes Sprinter van

Mercedes Sprinter vans are flying off the showroom floors, as companies like Amazon and FedEx are ordering them in record numbers to add to their delivery truck fleet.

The 2021 model returns with the same plethora of standard safety features, along with a reputation for having the highest payload and cargo carrying capacity in its class. The eye-catching interior is both simple yet functional, providing plenty of space for all occupants. The impressive MBUX infotainment stands out on the newly designed futuristic dashboard.

Comfortably accommodating from 12 to 15 passengers, the seating is comfortable with plenty of extra legroom and headroom for taller passengers. There is also an option for swivel seats and leather upholstery in the front row. The spacious interior and refined cabin design make for a quiet and enjoyable road trip.

According to Car Indigo, the Mercedes Sprinter is “one of the most popular passenger vans in the market.”

Luxurious interior of the GLB-Class

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB is an upscale SUV with seating for up to seven passengers. Backed by the quality of the Mercedes brand, the GLB offers several unique features. A natural language voice control system is activated by simply saying, “Hey, Mercedes.” A 64-color ambient lighting package sets the mood for this luxurious ride.

The heated and ventilated front seats are covered in high-end temperature sensitive material. A three-position memory feature and power-operated functions highlight the multi-contoured seating.

The state-of-the-art SUV offers five driving modes that include Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual. The cargo space is generous, with the optional third-row seating lowered.

The new 2021 Mercedes Sprinter lends itself to the upscale feel and comfort of the GLB-Class. Sharing some of the same features, drivers of the best-selling van will be hard-pressed not to enjoy the ride.

MotorTrend noted that “the Sprinter 4×4’s unique combination of utility, payload capacity, and off-road capability – not to mention relative efficiency and maneuverability – make it an enticing choice for those who can think outside the box. Or, more appropriately, inside it.”
