According to Task and Purpose, a Toyota truck was turned into a monster with the addition of a six-barrel Vulcan chain gun. The Vulcan was first created in 1956 and fires 20mm rounds at 6,000 per minute.

We’re not sure if the fighters in Yemen were carrying that much ammunition, but at least they have solid air defense. The Vulcan has been mounted on air defense systems and AC-130 gunships.

The truck looks pretty old and beat up, but it’s still going strong. It’s a light, durable option that has been modified with heavy weaponry for decades. It’s a technical, which refers to bolting a weapon to a truck for technical assistance.

Caleb Jacobs from The Drive shared that Toyota trucks are incredibly resilient, even if the weapon’s weight exceeds the official payload rating. They’re considered to be much tougher than manufacturers claim.

This beast feels like it could have been the star of a Mad Max film! Commercial trucks are a little unusual to see in battle. We will keep you updated as more information about Toyota’s unmatched reliability unfolds.
