Those With Ford Maverick Orders Have to Wait Even Longer
We don’t have the best news for those waiting on their 2022 Ford Maverick order. Things have gotten a bit tricky, causing longer delays. You might have to wait on a 2023 Ford Maverick instead, but you aren’t completely out of luck.
2022 Ford Maverick orders can’t be filled
There is a significant issue with 2022 Ford Maverick orders. If your model hasn’t been built yet, it’s because Ford can’t build it. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, Ford is overwhelmed. Supply chain issues and demand were much bigger than expected.
As a result, 2022 Maverick orders are being pushed to 2023. If you have to wait for a 2023 Ford Maverick, you will be compensated with a $2,750 discount on your new order for a gas-powered model and a $1,750 for a hybrid unit. Time is money, right?
Reportedly, a letter to customers shared that there aren’t enough materials to build unscheduled 2022 models. Ford established a new transition program known as the 2023 Model Year Maverick Transition Customer Satisfaction Private Offer Program to help.
The program helps those with 2022 orders switch to a 2023 Maverick. It’s private, so the public won’t take advantage of things. If you have a current 2022 EcoBoost order, you can put your name down for a 2023 Hybrid or gas-powered option.
How long is the wait for a 2023 Maverick?
The waiting time for a 2023 Ford Maverick isn’t exactly clear. Some sources suggest that you could be waiting for as little as 143 days, but other rumors claim that people will be waiting for over a year.
You could be waiting longer for a Ford Maverick Hybrid because the dan is higher and supplies are limited. But deliveries are expected to begin in the Fall of 2022. We aren’t sure if those with 2022 orders are prioritized.
If you want a Maverick, make haste. The sooner you complete your order, the better. You need to have your order in by October 31st. However, the online order banks have already closed. So, you will need to place your reservation at a dealership.
You can fill out an order form here. Then a Ford dealership will contact you about your order. It’s unclear if they will add markups to the MSRP, but you can expect a hefty destination fee.
How much does the 2023 Maverick cost?
The 2023 Ford Maverick price starts at $22,195. The destination fee is $1,495. The top-spec Maverick Lariat increases the price to $27,995. It’s pretty unique to have a truck available with every trim for under $30,000.
You can add the Ford Maverick Tremor package for $2,995, which adds off-roading chops. The Maverick Tremor Appearance Package adds another $1,495 to the cost. It provides a more confident look.
This truck initially started at $19,995, but those days are gone. For a compact truck, the Maverick can get surprisingly expensive in a hurry.
If you find one available in the wild, it could have a significant markup. The Maverick feels like a forbidden treasure because it’s so hard to get.
