Top 10 of the Ultimate Used Grand Tourers for Car Lovers on a Budget
While prices for used cars aren’t as bad as in 2021, they’re still higher than what many shoppers have come to expect. If you want a model that’s in high demand, like used grand tourers, you may even have to pay extra for dealer markups.
Surprisingly, many luxury tourers with high MSRPs are now relatively affordable on the used market. Here’s a top 10 list of your best options, courtesy of HotCars.
10. Bentley Continental GT

HotCars says that Bentley Continental GTs depreciate quite quickly, so you may get this used Grand Tourer for only $25,750. The 2005 model comes with a 552-hp V12 and showcases impressive handling skills. Bentley cars are also known for their extravagant interiors, fully furnished with plush leather surfaces and gorgeous wood trim.
9. Maserati 3200 GT
This car was last seen in 2002, and examples from the 90s usually only cost an average of $21,400. In addition to its impressive twin-turbo V8 performance, this car is known for its dynamic design language. It was the first production car to have LED tail lights, which stand out even more with an iconic boomerang design.
8. Infiniti G37 Coupe
HotCars says that this vehicle only costs around $17,000 today and comes powered by a 330-hp V6. While not as powerful as some of its peers, Edmunds says this coupe exhibits thrilling driving manners while maintaining excellent cruising quality.
The Infiniti G37 was one of the first cars to have an iPod-friendly interface. It also has some interesting interior materials and controls to show off, such as magnesium paddle shifters.
7. Aston Martin DB7
Because this Aston Martin is so easy to find, used models only retail for around $16,000. The Aston Martin DB7’s debut marked the first appearance of the Vantage V12, capable of 420 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Its exterior is sleek and aerodynamic, while the interior is a worthy rival to the 2005 Bentley Continental GT.
6. Cadillac XLR
It’s possible to find one with decent mileage for only $13,500. Produced for just five model years in the 2000s, this convertible tourer generates 320 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. It also has a unique rectangular shape compared to the angular bodies of its rivals.
5. Porsche 911 (996)
This particular 911 has a liquid-cooled engine producing at least 316 hp. Its mid-engine layout gives it impressive cornering abilities, and the GT2 models came with even sportier exterior design elements. It’s one of the cheapest used Porsches you can buy at $13,000.
4. Mercedes-Benz SL500
Even with fewer than 60,000 miles on the odometer, this coupe is often sold for $500 less than the Porsche 911 996. It comes powered by a 302-hp V8, but HotCars argues that this car’s real selling point is its distinctive body language. The interior is also filled with advanced technology and includes a panoramic roof.
3. BMW 6-Series
The BMW 6-Series received positive reception at launch thanks to its satisfying V8, which gets a top speed of 155 mph. It produces 361 hp and an identical amount of torque. This coupe has more aluminum body panels than its predecessor, giving it a much lighter curb weight.
2. Jaguar XK X100
This Jaguar is reportedly more reliable than some previous models, so it’s a responsible and relatively cheap used grand tourers investment at $9,600. It has a wide selection of engines making between 280-400 hp.
1. Mercedes-Benz CL
HotCars says that the 2007 Mercedes-Benz CL is just as powerful as many new grand tourers and only costs $7,500. This model can make up to 510 hp, but each comes with attractive exterior styling and a top-notch interior.
