Toyota is one of the best-selling automakers in the world, and its cars sell well because of how great they are in terms of reliability and much more. The automaker also has great cars in multiple segments, giving car shoppers a lot of options. Here’s a look at the top four Toyota vehicles right now.

1. The Toyota RAV4 Prime is the top Toyota vehicle

MotorTrend wrote that Toyota actually has nine top-ranked vehicles, and the model that scored the best was the RAV4 Prime. It received a score of 9.3 out of 10, making it the best option in the compact plug-in hybrid SUV segment. That said, the RAV4 Hybrid also did well, scoring 9.1 out of 10, making it the best option in the compact hybrid SUV segment.

Since the RAV4 Prime has a PHEV powertrain, it’s more expensive than the RAV4 or the RAV4 Hybrid. The RAV4 Prime starts at $42,000, much higher than the RAV4 Hybrid’s $31,000 price tag. The main difference between the Prime and the other versions of the SUV is its PHEV powertrain, and it’s also its best aspect.

It gets 302 hp, allowing the compact SUV to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. That makes it one of the fastest Toyota models on the market. It also gets 94 MPGe, and thanks to its battery, it can go 40 miles in battery-only mode. It also comes with a long list of smart safety features, but most other Toyotas do as well.

2. The Toyota Sienna

The Sienna received a score of 8.9 out of 10, which made it the highest-ranked minivan on the market. It starts at about $36,000, and unlike its rivals, the Sienna comes with a hybrid powertrain as standard. This allows the Toyota minivan to get 36 mpg combined, all the meanwhile having eight seats and a max cargo capacity of over 100 cu-ft. 

However, the minivan’s efficient powertrain makes it more expensive than many rivals. The engine is also fairly loud, and its infotainment system is “clunky.” 

3. The Toyota Prius

The car critic gave the Prius a score of 8.8 out of 10, and once again, this made it the best option in its segment. That score was for the 2022 version of the car, though, and the Japanese automaker redesigned the Prius for the 2023 model year.

The brand-new Prius starts at about $27,500 but received improvements everywhere. Its hybrid powertrain gets 194 hp while providing about 57 mpg combined. That’s more horsepower and better fuel economy than before. The automaker also gave the hybrid car a brand-new look, and it’s more stylish overall. 

4. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid is still one of the top Toyota models

The Toyota Highlander Hybrid scored 8.7 out of 10, which allowed it to be the top-rated car in the three-row hybrid SUV segment. The midsize hybrid SUV starts at about $40,000, about $4,000 more expensive than the regular version of the Highlander, but still not as much as the fully loaded Toyota Highlander. The SUV’s hybrid powertrain gets 243 hp, allowing the Toyota to get 36 mpg combined.

On top of that, since it’s a midsize SUV with three rows of seats, it also has a good amount of interior space. It seats up to eight people, though the third row is cramped, and it’s best left for kids or small adults. With the seats folded down, it also maxes out at 84 cu-ft of cargo space.
