The multi-billion dollar American auto industry is full of cars, trucks, and SUV models of all sizes. But Americans have a sweet spot for SUVs, and the demand for midsize third-row models continues to rise. Midsize SUVs offer an outstanding balance of size and maneuverability. Still, most importantly, they have tons of storage space invaluable for larger families or frequent travelers who need more room than a traditional sedan can offer. Here’s a look at the top 5 midsize third-row SUVs and what they offer.

The SUV dominates the midsize SUV class, with 29.9 cu-ft of cargo behind the third row and a whopping 96.8 cu-ft when all seating is folded down. No matter which trim you choose, the Atlas comes with a generous tech package that includes an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and Bluetooth.

Even more, the SUV gets power from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, good for 235 hp, or a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 276 hp.
