Totaled Challenger Owner Doesn’t Miss a Beat, Posts Crash Site Photos to Marketplace
Ever had one of those days when you are so unlucky that it seems like the entire world is out to get you? Isaiah Bowens of Georgia is a prime example of making lemonade when life hands you lemons. After crashing his Dodge Challenger, he didn’t miss a beat posting the totaled but still-running car to Facebook Marketplace.
The Facebook Marketplace posting caught my attention because of its photos. They are pictures of the front, rear, and side of a Dodge Challenger involved in some kind of 360-degree highway crash–still parked on the highway!
That’s right, the car isn’t even in the breakdown lane. It’s just parked diagonally in the right-side lane, plastic panels and clumps of grass are strewn on the pavement around the car. Both rear corners are damaged and the front is completely torn apart. There is no grille or front bumper in sight. As best as I can guess, it spun out of control, hitting both the nearby marked-up guard rail and another car. Perhaps it was rear ended or involved in a pileup.
While a less resilient owner might have had it towed home to plan our next move, Bowens decided to wash his hands of the car then and there. He snapped pictures at the crash site and uploaded them to Marketplace with the following ad.
“2014 Dodge challenger R/T Coupe 2D: Title in hand! Engine still intact. Selling as is! HEMI 5.7. Selling this week 6/1/24.”

Since posting the original ad, Bowens uploaded a very important video. In the vertical phone video he walks around the car, then starts up its engine. I might be a bit concerned with an engine still having coolant when the radiator is that mangled. But there’s no evidence Bowens left it running for more than a second.
Bowens currently has the 150,000 mile parts car, with an automatic transmission, listed at $3,000 OBO. If you are looking for a 3rd gen Hemi to drop into a restomod project, this might be the one. I’m cheering for the owner who is obviously eager to be rid of the car.
