According to a massive study performed by iSeeCars, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia offers more value during its lifespan than the 2023 Chevrolet Suburban.
To find these figures, iSeeCars looked at the new vehicle sales price for over 80 million vehicles sold between September through December 2023.
Then it used this data to cross-reference with their study that included over 181 million vehicles to find the longest-lasting options.
Now we can dive into the numbers for y’all vehicle nerds. I’m a vehicle nerd too, but I’m glad someone else puts the stats together.
Anyways, the average price for a new 2023 Toyota Sequoia is $80,242, the average cost per 10,000 miles is $3,550, and its average lifespan is 226,531 miles.
The average price for a new 2023 Chevy Suburban is $76,465, the price per 10,000 miles is about $4,242, and its average lifespan is 180,237.
So, while the Suburban could be a little cheaper to buy, it has higher operating costs and might not last as long.
Also, Sequoia is in third place on the list of SUVs with the best value. The Nissan Armada is in second place and the 2023 Buick Enclave has the most value.
The average price for a 2023 Buick Enclave is $52,417, it costs about $3,443 per 10,000 miles and has an average lifespan of 154,234. So, it’s much more affordable but may not last as long.
According to J.D.Power, the 2023 Sequoia has a reliability rating of 75 out of 100. The 2023 Suburban earned a score of 78 out of 100.
Both of these scores are average. Anything between 70 and 80 is average while scores between 81 and 90 are above average.
But it’s interesting that the Subruan came three points ahead. That’s a little conflicting, but the Sequoia is finding its footing after being redesigned. As it accrues more mileage the score could change, so stay tuned for updates.
