According to Kelley Blue Book, the 2022 Toyota Tundra doesn’t only have the best resale value out of every truck model, but it has the highest resale value out of every single vehicle that’s available. 

The vehicles listed in the top 10 options with the Tundra have the best residual values according to the five-year buy-own-sell ownership cycle. The average vehicle retains about 40 percent of its worth over 60 months. 

However, the vehicles in the top 10 list will return about 59 percent to their owner’s pockets. Also, the Tundra is projected to retain 70.2 percent of its value over five years. The GMC Sierra landed in second place at 60.8 percent, and the Toyota Tacoma is in third with 60.6 percent. 

How reliable is the 2022 Tundra? 

The 2022 Toyota Tundra has an above-average reliability ranking. This may contribute to its high resale value. The Tundra has the reputation of being a long-lasting, durable truck, so used models often sell quickly. 

J.D.Power provided the 2022 Tundra with a reliability ranking of 86 out of 100 points. Any score between 91 to 100 is considered to be the best, but scores between 81 and 90 are still great. It’s a good accomplishment.

Also, the standard 3.5-liter V6 engine with 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque provides a smooth power delivery. It helps the truck accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.6 seconds. Plus, the hybrid setup cranks out 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. 

Tech such as the 14.0-inch touchscreen is easy to use with vibrant graphics. The JBL audio system provides premium sound. 

But the Ram 1500 still has a superior ride quality, chunky pillars block visibility, and the fuel economy is pretty subpar. However, all trucks have their pros and cons but don’t have the title of best resale value.
