When Kelley Blue Book ranked the best pickup trucks for 2021, the Toyota Tundra made the list. However, it made the bottom of the list. That’s still a good sign for the Tundra, but what other full-size, light-duty pickup trucks made the list?

Kelley Blue Book ranked a few of the full-size, light-duty pickup trucks on the market. These trucks won’t fit into everyone’s lifestyle as trucks like the Toyota Tundra don’t have the towing capacity of larger trucks. The Tundra is a reliable truck with a high resale value, even many years down the line. The V8 engine gets the job done, and this truck is made in the U.S.
Some of the main drawbacks KBB noted included the lack of engine options and limited towing/payload. However, that is to be expected for a light-duty truck like this. The fuel economy could be better, too. But with a Toyota Tundra, you get reliability, quality, and durability all rolled into one.

Not the best pickup truck, but a good option is the Nissan Titan
The 2021 Nissan Titan comes with a lot of pros but not a lot of changes. The new Safety Shield 360 driver aid is available but not always standard, along with a bigger infotainment screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. The Titan does offer an industry-leading five-year, 100,000-mile warranty.
As previously mentioned, the Titan hasn’t been changed or updated much recently. The ride is a bit dull and can’t compare to the smoothness of rival trucks. Nissan does offer a variety of trim levels to suit different needs and budgets.

A solid pickup truck, the GMC Sierra 1500
Kelley Blue Book says that the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 has a “professional yet premium attitude.” GMC offers the Sierra in a variety of trim levels and engine configurations. The GMC Sierra1 500 has a solid combination of useful technology and hardware that make it a comfortable truck to drive around. It has a bit of a lower towing and payload rating than the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500. If that’s important, the diesel and four-cylinder options have higher tow ratings for the Sierra.
In 2021, the Sierra has new trailering technology that makes towing easier, and it offers Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Most of the safety features that were optional last year come standard this year. It also received a nice redesign after last year.

Wireless infotainment and tons of convenient storage locations onboard make the Ram a good buy. The upper-trim levels like the TRX tend to exceed a lot of budgets.

The 2021 Ford F-150 is at the top of the list for the best pickup trucks, but that’s no surprise. The F-150 has the best in class towing, payload, and power out of all of the trucks. Ford even offers a new PowerBoost hybrid option. The F-150 offers an onboard generator for added convenience. The F-150 gets a little bit when you go up the trim levels, and it also gets a little pricey. However, the 2021 Ford F-150 has a lot to offer.

While the 2021 Toyota Tundra rounded out the bottom of the best pickup trucks list, the critics still found many positives. The 2021 Ford F-150 remains king of the best pickup trucks on the market, which probably comes as no surprise to anyone. Light-duty full-size pickup trucks are a game-changer, and this segment will only expand in the future.
