Many travel trailers are great for cold-weather camping. And most offer various floor plans and layouts to suit any lifestyle. For years, Northwood and other RV manufacturers have been making high-quality campers fit for frosty conditions. Here’s a shortlist of some of the best.

Northwood Arctic Fox

The Northwood Arctic Fox is among the most luxurious travel trailers. It has a gross weight of 11,000 pounds, a freshwater capacity of 58 gallons, and a net carrying capacity of 2,698 pounds. According to Camper Report, the interior is well-built, and two slide-outs make it look spacious. Expect warm wood accents and leather seating, too.

It also has an impressive entertainment center that includes a 32-inch LED smart TV, a charging center with two USB charging ports and one 12-volt port, and an AM/FM radio/CD/DVD system compatible with Bluetooth devices. There’s a fireplace at the bottom of the entertainment cabinet, along with a dual cabinet for overhead storage.

The living room, bathroom, and bedroom are well-partitioned. And for comfort and warmth, the slide-outs and the bedroom have a carpet. This travel trailer is also equipped with a 300,000 BTU furnace, while the walls and ceiling boast heat-saving layers and high-density block foam. Water-holding containers are regularly heated to prevent freezing and damage.

Lance 2295

This travel trailer has a gross weight of 7,000 pounds, a freshwater capacity of 45 gallons, and a net cargo-carrying capacity of 2,160 pounds. Though smaller than the Arctic Fox, the Lance 2295 has comfortable fittings and a 25,000 BTU furnace able to withstand icy temperatures.

It also has a spacious living area and a modern dinette. The entertainment center comprises a 32-inch LCD LED HDTV. Beneath it stands an optional fireplace. And the bedroom comes with a full-sized residential Serta bed with a spectacular cabinet and storage.

This travel trailer has block foam insulation built into the walls, while the water systems are also insulated and heated to avoid any freezing or damage. With the interior fireplace and standard exterior kitchen, the Lance 2295 is easily among the best travel trailers.

Bigfoot 25B25RQ

Bigfoot makes various travel trailers, but the 25B25RQ is the largest and most spacious. All Bigfoot models are built with lightweight two-piece fiberglass exterior walls and thermal pane windows for maximum insulation. It has a gross weight of 7,500 pounds, a freshwater capacity of 45 gallons, and a net carrying capacity of 2,637 pounds. A 30,000 BTU furnace is enough to keep you warm in cold climates.

The interior also boasts luxe amenities such as day/nightshades, skylights, porcelain toilets, and a high-quality mattress.

Cold-water durability, seven distinctive floor plans suited to your RV lifestyle, and comfortable interior design make the Bigfoot 25B25RQ a suitable winter traveler.

Jayco Eagle 330RSTS

The Jayco Eagle 330RSTA weighs 11,955 pounds. It has a fresh-water capacity of 75 gallons and a net carrying capacity of 1,395 pounds. This travel trailer is comfortable, spacious, and packed with top-of-line amenities. Climate Shield technology protects the vehicle against all weather conditions.

The entertainment center boasts a 50-inch HDTV and a JBL sound system. Other features include an optional king bed and a rear sofa floor plan with a large pantry.

Expect a 35,000 BTU furnace, a built-in fireplace, an enclosed and heated underbelly, and double-layered fiberglass insulation. And three slide-outs ensure plenty of floor space.

All the above travel trailers make adventuring easy even in harsh weather conditions. These RVs are also easy and cheap to customize depending upon your itinerary, the time of the year, the number of people in your traveling party, and the amount of space you need.
