Uber driver busts cheating husband, ‘savage’

An Uber driver in Dallas named Roni wants the internet to know she’s not putting up with cheaters. When a man got into her car with a woman who wasn’t his wife, she dealt with the cheater as unceremoniously as possible: she dropped him and mistress back at his home address to meet his family. Here’s how it went down.

Roni picked up what seemed to be a regular customer on a regular day. The man’s wife and pre-K aged kids came out to see him off with the kids saying, “I love you, daddy.” As soon as they were driving, he added a stop and let the driver know.

At this second stop, another woman got in the car. According to Roni, “He kisses her and it wasn’t a ‘hi, how you doing?’ kind of kiss.” If Roni had any doubts about the situation remaining, they disappeared when the woman said, “Oh, I’m so glad you finally got away from your damn wife.” The man told the driver he’d changed the drop-off location too and Roni said, “I saw that.”

The female passenger asked, “I’m tired of you putting me off. When are you gonna leave?” The man said, “I’ve got some things I’ve got to take care of. Let’s talk about this later.” As the two got into a heated discussion, Roni mulled over her situation.

She didn’t agree with what the man was doing. She’d always said about cheaters, “There is nothing worse than a dog.” And it occurred to her that she could end a ride anytime and anywhere she wanted. In her words, “This is my car. I work for myself. I am an independent contractor.”

So while the couple was distracted, Roni drove them right back to the man’s house. She opened the door and his mistress got out on the lawn, but he realized where they were. He begged, “Oh, my God. No, don’t do this. Don’t do this, don’t do this.” But Roni wasn’t having any of it. It took some choice language, but she finally evicted him from her car.

Roni told her tale to the internet and said, “Be better. People, do better in life.” You can see her video embedded below, or find out what the wife said to Roni afterward.

Later, Roni received a message from Uber: One of her customers was trying to contact her and the platform wanted to know if it should patch them through. She accepted the call and, sure enough, it was actually her passenger’s wife. The woman must have booked the ride for her husband.

Roni immediately apologized, “I’m so sorry, you know, if…if I affected anything that was going on in your life.”

It turns out there was no harm done: The kids were already off at pre-K, and the dramatic incident was exactly what the woman had needed. She explained, “No, I already had, you know, some clues that he was cheating. I just didn’t have proof. And you gave me all the ammunition I needed. I just want you to know that you’re an angel. You’re my hero. And I just want to thank you so, so much.” It turns out the woman had finally decided to file for divorce.

Roni posted her video to TikTok and many of the 45,000 commenters agreed with her actions. Michelle said, “SAVAGE!!! And rightfully so!!” Beth Wilkas Feraco said, “YOU ARE A QUEEN! Yes!! Good for you!” and AngstRiddenMom added, “Good on ya! Wear that cape, girl. Today, you’re a hero.”
