The era of poor college athletes is ending. Carson Beck, the quarterback at the University of Georgia is playing off his Lamborghini Urus Performante as no big deal. However, the Lamborgini Urus Performante is a $300,000 car.

If I could have a $300,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante then maybe I would bust my butt on the field. University of Georgia quarterback, Carson Beck is currently enjoying this $300,000 high performance with a bit of a smug attitude.

He brushes off concerns by saying it’s just a car. Reportedly, he loves cars, he got a car, end of story. Carson mentioned that some people might look at it and think it was a terrible investment, but “it’s just a car”.

Carson’s teammates aren’t jealous of the Lamborghini at all. He has been giving them rides in it and they claim he’s earned it. During his forest year as a starter, he led the SEC in passing yards.

However, he didn’t mention how he acquired the Lamborghini model. It’s unclear if he bought it, leased it, or scored a deal with a local dealership.

Some of his comments make it seem like it was part of a deal but he also used some of his own money. He doesn’t have to share this information with the public as a part of new rules for college athletes thanks to NIL.

NIL refers to the rights of college athletes to profit from their names, images, and likenesses. Carson Beck is ranked as the fifth college quarterback and has received roughly $1.5 million from college deals. He wants to earn $4 million during the 2024 season at UGA.

The Lamborghini Uris Performante has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with 657 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds.

Georgia head coach, Kirby Smart hasn’t been asked about Caron’s vehicle but typically endorses Ford.

Hopefully, the car doesn’t distract Carson Beck from achieving a career in the NFL. Money and fame can go right to a young person’s head.

However, as a University of South Carolina alumni, I won’t mind if it distracts him while playing the Gamecocks.
