‘Nearly fully unclothed’ Florida woman leads police on 110 mph chase
For a Florida Highway Patrol officer, nothing surprises you after a few years on the job. So, when the cops spotted a speeding 2009 Cadillac on I-75, they probably weren’t shocked to find it had been reported stolen.
Just another day in the Sunshine State.
The police intercepted the car and signaled for the driver to pull over. But instead of tapping the brakes, the Cadillac gunned it, hitting 110 mph. Time for a chase. Yet again.
For the next 15 miles, the suspect blew past cars, swerved onto the shoulder, and broke every traffic law you can think of. But the troopers stuck with her. After all, this was just another day at the office.
They even pulled up next to the car, hoping to talk her into pulling over. Who did they find at the wheel? A “nearly fully unclothed” Rachael Lynn Stefancich, who clearly wasn’t in the mood to chat.
Eventually, she took an exit and continued onto a two-lane road. That’s when the cops pulled a PITT maneuver—spinning her off the road. Also known as the “Florida-howdy-do.”
When they finally had her cornered, Stefancich tried one last move: She insisted the car wasn’t stolen, that her aunt had let her borrow it. I’m sure the troopers had never heard that one before.
By this point, the cops had heard enough. After cuffing the suspect, they searched the car and found hard drugs and related paraphernalia. Stefancich now faces charges of grand theft auto, reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, and possession of narcotics.
And the kicker? Her license was already suspended. Maybe that’s why she didn’t both with any…pockets.
