Vin Diesel to The Rock: Come Back to ‘Fast & Furious 10,’ I Can’t Quit You!
Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have a notoriously rocky relationship. It especially went downhill after the two actors didn’t get along while filming 2017’s The Fate of the Furious and The Rock called Vin Diesel a “candy ass” in a since-deleted Instagram post. However, there could be a thaw in the relationship between Vin Diesel and The Rock. In a recent Instagram post, Vin Diesel pleaded with The Rock to come back for the upcoming Fast & Furious 10 film.

The collaboration between Vin Diesel and The Rock on the Fast and Furious movie franchise has mostly been a success. As the straight-shooting Agent Hobbs, first appearing in the Fast Five, Dwayne Johnson helped revitalize the franchise.
Things turned sour when the Rock and Vin Diesel had a falling out while filming 2017’s The Fate of the Furious, along with back and forth bickering on social media. The two actors didn’t share any scenes in that movie. Also, while Dwayne Johnson went on to star in the spin-off film Hobbs and Shaw with Jason Statham, he didn’t appear in F9. However, the fighting turned to brotherly love in a recent Instagram post by Vin Diesel.
“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”

Will Dwayne Johnson return for ‘Fast & Furious 10?’
It’s not clear why Vin Diesel called Dwayne Johnson “My little brother” in the Instagram post. While The Rock is five years younger than Vin Diesel, the famously ripped Johnson is considerably bigger than Vin Diesel. It’s also unclear whether or not The Rock will return to Fast & Furious 10.
While The Rock has not yet responded to Vin Diesel’s Instagram post, he previously made his intentions clear about returning to the primary Fast & Furious franchise. In an interview with SlashFilm, Johnson stated, “I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast and Furious movies they do, but that will be without me.”
What is the release date of ‘Fast & Furious 10?’
The release date of Fast & Furious 10 is April 7, 2023. Fast & Furious 10 is part one of a two-part finale, with it followed by Fast & Furious 11. There isn’t a release date yet for Fast & Furious 11, but you can probably expect it to arrive in theatres sometime in 2024.
We’ll see how The Rock responds to the Instagram post from Vin Diesel. Perhaps he’ll have a change of heart and reunite on the big screen with Vin Diesel for the Fast & Furious 10 and Fast & Furious 11.
