With its 8.3 inches of ground clearance, the V90 Cross Country can run the fool out of any road type. It can even handle some mild off-roading. It’s hard to believe you could see a Volvo station wagon out in it, but it’s a distinct possibility with this wagon.

Starting at $58,450, the Volvo ain’t saving you much money. But, Hell, in this market, the V90 is much cooler than many other things you can actually buy for that price point. The Ultimate trim tops the price list at $64,050. Still, the point stands. For that money, you’d be hard-pressed to find a car (you can actually buy and drive home) that will be this luxurious, safe, reliable, and rugged.
