As a full-size truck, the Ford F-150 has long been a popular vehicle. In fact, for some time, it has been one of the best-selling trucks in the United States. And apparently, for the 2023 Ford F-150, its popularity might be a bit of a problem. Order banks for F-150 trucks with certain features might be closing soon. 

Can you buy a 2023 Ford F-150?

As it stands, you can get a new Ford F-150 pickup truck model. 2023 F-150 order banks have been open for some time, but it looks like they might be closing soon. No, these closures will not affect every full-size Ford truck, but they might impact some popular options. 

This is not the first time that the F-150 has been too popular for its own good. The Rattler trim sold out extremely fast. And that is probably because a lot of folks want an off-road truck that is also budget-friendly. 

According to Ford Authority, order banks will close on February 13th. The Ford Maverick is not the only truck getting affected by supply chain issues; now, the F-150 is experiencing them. 

It looks like the SuperCab configuration is the one facing most of the issues. Depending on different options, you might not be able to get one anymore. At least until the Blue Oval can figure out how to keep up with demand. 

The F-150 is still a solid full-size truck

In terms of being a full-size truck, the Ford F-150 still does a good job. Even as the Blue Oval has introduced an electric truck, you can still get an F-150 powered by a gas engine. And for most folks, that is probably going to get the one to get. 

The 2023 F-150 is available in a variety of trim levels. These range from a base work truck to a model that has serious luxury features. It is praised for its cabin, but it is worth noting that a lot of the sought-after features are limited to the higher trims. 

One of the nicer things about this new truck is that it offers a hybrid engine. According to Car and Driver, the twin-turbo V6 can generate 400 horsepower. And because it’s a hybrid, you can get some pretty impressive fuel economy. 

Which Ford truck is best?

If you want an F-150, you’re going to have a lot of choices to make. The Lariat trim might offer the best value overall. Now, it will cost you about $60k, but you do get a good mix of features. 

It is important to note if you do want a new F-150, some of the options might be going away soon. And the closed order banks that are happening next week likely will not be the last. Auto manufacturers have had a pretty difficult time getting products to dealerships. And it does not look like those issues are ending any time soon.
