The all-new 2023 Acura Integra Type S should be a hot car. We’ve been waiting with bated breath for weeks to learn how much the car will cost, but more importantly when we can finally put some of our money down for one of these hot sedans that hop up a 2024 Acura Integra’s power and handling. Acura announced today that reservations will open at 10 p.m. Pacific time on May 11. But, there’s a hitch, and we’re not just talking about the sky-high price.

Acura limited orders of the Integra Type S to just 200

If you want to order an Integra Type S, be ready to act fast. Like fans trying to buy front-row Taylor Swift tickets, we’re expecting an online battle at 10 p.m. on May 11 for the first reservations. Though the cars will start showing up at dealerships in June, those with a fast internet connection can snap up the first 200 Integra Type S units available. Interestingly, Acura says, you can only reserve your car on May 11, not actually buy it.

You can reserve a car at Acura.com/Integra, however not every dealership will participate in the pre-order program, according to Acura.

How much will an Acura Integra Type S cost?

Acura also announced pricing for the new 2024 Integra Type S, and it’s not cheap. It will cost more than many of its compact sport sedan rivals, with a base MSRP of $50,800, or $51,995 delivered. That’s a lot for a liftback sedan that seats five. But, then, the word regular doesn’t describe the 2024 Integra Type S.

The Integra Type S comes with almost every option and some clever features you’ll want, including heated seats and a large 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a heads-up display. The Type S also comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless charging, and a premium stereo.

How much horsepower does the Integra Type S have?

Of course the Integra Type S will be the fastest Integra ever with a turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC engine that makes 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Not too long ago, those numbers would have shamed Corvettes with giant V8s. But, with Acura’s clever variable valve timing, or VTEC, system, the engines can rev higher and reliably make more power.  That power is routed though a real three-pedal six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

Almost everything on the Type S changes from the standard car. It gets a performance-tuned adaptive suspension, Brembo brand brakes, and new lightweight 19-inch wheels. It also gets a styling upgrade. You can spot a Type S in the wild thanks to its tweaked styling and wider body, as well as the three center-mounted exhaust outlets, larger air intakes, and rear diffuser. These cars will be special, and if you want to be one of the first in your city, be sure to get online on May 11 to order an Integra Type S. The new car does its best to channel the nostalgia of the original Integra, which now has cult status among Honda fans.
