Auto enthusiasts everywhere are gaining a new appreciation for the Dodge Durango after news of its imminent demise spread. The future of the Durango is uncertain, but current owners are beginning to see the true value of their large SUVs. Ryan Friedlinghaus and the West Coast Customs crew decided to make one Dodge Durango owner’s day by giving his SUV a complete refresh.

Jose Morales brought his Dodge Durango in for what he thought was just a recall. Little did Morales know that one of the best custom vehicle crews in the game was about to take his Durango to the next level. Jose’s 2013 Dodge Durango got the full West Coast Customs treatment.

The team restored the 2013 Dodge Durango’s foggy headlights. They used vinyl wrap to add blue racing stripes and reflect Jose’s love of the L.A. Dodgers. The crew also used vinyl wrap to add black accents to the Durango’s exterior.

The wheels and grille of the 2013 Dodge Durango were powder coated light blue. The team also put new Continental tires on the Durango. White caliper covers were added as well. Jose was astounded by his Durango’s refresh and couldn’t wait to show it off.

Is the 2013 Dodge Durango a good SUV?

The 2013 Dodge Durango only received a 3/5 owner satisfaction rating on Consumer Reports. The 2012 and 2014 model years didn’t do any better in terms of consumer satisfaction on Consumer Reports. The 2013 Durango is safe, spacious, and has a great towing capacity of up to 7,400 pounds.

On the downside, the 2013 Durango wasn’t as affordable or fuel-efficient as some of its competitors when it debuted. The 2013 Dodge Durango gets 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway. It debuted around $30,000 with rear-wheel drive. Dodge Durango models often receive higher consumer ratings than expert review ratings. Jose saw something special in his Durango, and the West Coast Customs crew accentuated it.
