Take a cruise on any highway in America and you might see a highway patrol car with a speeder pulled over on the shoulder. It’s the reality of police patrols on our nation’s highways. If you speed, you risk catching the “berries and cherries” in your rearview mirror. However, it’s not every day that you see the highway patrol with a parade of supercars pulled over on the side of the road.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) police officers pulled over at least nine supercars at once

Monterey Car Week is a big deal for enthusiasts. Every year, scores of car-minded fans descend on the Monterey area in California to take in events. From shows to racing events, Monterey Car Week has the draw to attract many a car fanatic. As such, car collectors bring their favorite classics, supercars, hypercars, antiques, and toys to Monterey for the big week.

Consequently, it’s not unlikely to see the best of world-class performance marques like Lamborghini, McLaren, Ferrari, and Porsche traversing the area. However, the car week was a bit of a downer for a handful of supercar owners as California Highway Patrol (CHP) police officers pulled them over– at the same time.

In a social media post, viewers can see at least nine supercars pulled over on the side of the highway by the Lightfighter Drive exit. At the back of the high-dollar column, a Lamborghini Huracán and a Ferrari SF90 Stradale sat ahead of a CHP cruiser. Beyond the Italian supercars, a couple of Porsche 911 GT3s and many McLarens, including a McLaren 750S Spider, awaited citation. Continuing the trend, a Ferrari 812 Superfast and a Ferrari F12 sat further up the shoulder.

“The CHP wants to remind everyone to slow down. Drive to arrive. Drive carefully, obey the speed limits, and always wear your seatbelt,” CHP said in a post. Needless to say, commenters were less accepting of CHP’s actions.
