Couple Gets Hitched In a Gas Station Bathroom, Disco Ball Included Free of Charge
Rather than spend tens of thousands on a traditional venue, a Kentucky bride and groom chose an unlikely locale to exchange vows: a gas station bathroom. To add to the charm, the couple picked Valentine’s Day to tie the knot in the petrol palace. What’s more, the bathroom already featured a disco ball that starts up with the push of a red button.
Tiana works at the local HOP Shop, and she knew she wanted an alternative wedding. She suggested the venue to her fiance, who supported the idea. You can watch their first dance, complete with refracting disco lights, in the fuel store’s bathroom [embedded below].
The guests witnessed the ceremony from outside the bathroom. Then, they attended a reception in the gas station store.

HOP Shops are regional gems, with only 16 total locations. You’ll find them strategically placed along major traffic arteries in Northern Kentucky, Southwest Ohio, and Owensboro, Kentucky. All HOP Shop gas stations have disco balls in the bathrooms.
Six months ago, YouTuber Dylan Anderson posted a video of a woman who found the red button beside a warning sign. When she pushed it, the lights turned off, music started, and a disco ball lit up from the ceiling. The video has more than 27 million views.
The Kentucky couple sure proves that binding commitments can be expressed anywhere. Logen Abney wrote in his on-theme vows, “From the first dance in that disco bathroom to this moment, I vow to HOP through life with you.”
