There was a time when the term “luxury trucks” would have gotten someone laughed out of the Farmer’s Co-op. However, these days, most pickup trucks coming out seem to be adorned with leather, various piles of technology, and making roughly a billion hp. Even crazier, though, is the quickly growing list of trucks that inexplicably have six wheels, massive tires, and other such opulent features. Frankly, it can be a lot to navigate since the majority of these super luxury trucks are built by custom fab shops. So, what is the best luxury pickup truck you can buy?

There are an insane amount of luxury pickup trucks

The pickup truck segment is one of the most competitive segments in the industry. Since every brand is trying to make up growth in each sub-category, they all have mid-size, full-size, and even luxury pickup truck models. Ford with its Raptor and Lighting, GMC with its Denali trim, and Ram with its TRX. These truck models are all firmly in the luxury truck camp, as most of these models are around the $100,000 mark. 

However, as our friends at duPont Registry show, there is an OEM luxury truck, and there are luxury trucks built in the aftermarket world.

Not a single one of these luxury pickups is something you can go and buy at the dealership from the name on the nameplate. As you may have noticed, names like Hennessey, Shelby, and Demon let you know that something else is going on here. 

These trucks started as a brand’s flagship pickup truck and then got body, power, suspension, driveline, and interior upgrades. 

What is the most expensive luxury truck? 

Naming the most expensive truck is tough. All of these supertrucks come from aftermarket builders who offers certain models, but along with the model, a menu of custom options as long as you’d ever want to see. With that comes a bar that is set higher and higher with every next Saudi prince who needs a shockingly expensive pickup truck. Most of these trucks start anywhere from $300,000-$500,000. Again, that is just the starting price. They can go way up from there.
