New for the 2023 model year, the new fully-loaded 2023 Cadillac Escalade is a performance model. First, it uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 682 horsepower. It’s the same unit found in the CT5-V Blackwing, which blasts 668 hp for the sedan. Next, it comes with standard all-wheel drive, which is optional for all other trim levels. Lastly, the V-Series model has unique styling and just about every feature you can dream up. Most of which are found on lower-tier trims and carried over to the range-topper.

This includes completely over-the-top features, like those found on the Premium Luxury Platinum trim. For just over $108,000, the full-size SUV has an adaptive air suspension, soft-closing doors, massaging front seats, a 36-speaker AKG premium audio system with Bluetooth headphones, and a rear-seat entertainment system. These upper models also come with nearly every optional feature for lower trims.

2023 Cadillac Escalade optional packages

In addition to the many standard features, the $100,000 and higher full-size SUV comes with most features from the optional packages. First, the Touring package has soft-close doors and the adaptive air suspension. Next, the Performance package upgrades the suspension and adds an electronically-controlled limited-slip differential, trailer hitch assist, and a trailer brake controller. Lastly, the Heavy-Duty Trailering package adds an upgraded cooling system, an auxiliary trailer camera, and a trailer tire pressure monitoring system.

Outside of packages, a few features are available as standalone options. This includes an adaptive air suspension, an upgraded Brembo brake system, a rear-seat entertainment system, and Super Cruise, Cadillac’s semi-automated driving system.

Car and Driver recommend the $108,890 Premium Luxury Platinum

Out of the six 2023 Cadillac Escalade trims, Car and Driver recommend the $108,890 Premium Luxury Platinum model. For over $100,000, the trim is very well-equipped. Moreover, it’s expensive but provides more value than the lower trims. In addition, even the base model is costly, so if you can afford it for roughly $90,000, $108,890 isn’t too far out of reach.

C/D says the Premium Luxury Platinum model contains its best features. For example, semi-aniline leather, 16-way power-adjustable front seats with massage, soft-close doors, and a 36-speaker AKG sound system. Also standard are a self-parking feature, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control.

2023 Cadillac Escalade: 3 trims over $100,000

In conclusion, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade comes in six trim levels, three of which start over $100,000. Mostly, these models come with much of the same equipment. The highest trims get most features from lower trims, almost all the equipment from optional packages, and more. The V-Series, in particular, gets everything and the kitchen sink, including an upgraded suspension and a beefier engine. Plus, it’s the only way to get standard all-wheel drive, which is optional throughout the lineup.
