What Does NBA Champ LeBron James Drive?
Whenever you’ve got someone making over $40 million a year plus endorsements, you know they’ve got some killer cars. Such is the case with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. He’s considered one of the most valuable players in the NBA and is a three-time NBA champion. Just for some context he also has two Olympic gold medals and four NBA MVP awards. He’s estimated to be worth $500 million. Let’s take a look at what he has in his collection of killer cars.
1975 Chevy Impala Convertible
This one is a bit of a surprise. Maybe a 1964 or 1966 Imp, but 1975 is later than we’d expect. But that doesn’t make it any less worthy. With this ‘vert it’s about matching the blue/purple exterior paint. The wheels are matching as is the interior. Power comes from a 5.0-liter small-block Chevy engine. 1976 was the last year for the Impala convertible. Maybe LeBron wanted the largest milestone ‘vert he could get in this color?
Maybach 57S Sedan
These S-Class derived sedans are the top-of-the-line Mercedes Benz products. Besides upgraded interiors and finessed body panel fitment it also has a V12 rated at 620 hp. It’s said this is one of LeBron’s favorite cars in his fleet. He even has personalized license plates that say “KING OF OH.” These retail for almost $400,000.
Lamborghini Aventador Roadster
This is not about being subtle, it’s about promoting a product. The first product that is hyped is LeBron. The second is the Nike LeBron XI and King James Legacy sneakers. What you’re seeing is a wrap over the body to push the point. This isn’t just a normal Aventador but the roadster version so it’s got an open top. With 700 hp this sucker can see 200 mph-plus speeds, although we don’t know where this can be done within 100 miles of Lakers games in LA.
Ferrari F430 Spyder
We don’t know whether this is one of LeBron’s favorite cars but we do know he has posed for pictures with it a lot. This is an example of the modern Ferrari; V8 power and killer looks. No wonder LeBron likes to be photographed with it.
Hummer H2
This was one of the first major purchases LeBron made when his professional basketball career first started. Custom grille, 28-inch rims, multiple screens with PlayStation integrated, the SUV was powered by a 320 hp 6.0 liter V8. It was auctioned off in 2018 for charity.
Bentley Continental GT
Custom rims are painted white to match the rest of the Continental. This is rumored to be LeBron’s favorite car. It combines luxury with performance. The list price for these performance coupes is north of $200,000.
Ferrari 458
Different reports say different cars from his collection are his favorite. Who really knows when you’ve got this many choices? Nonetheless this Ferrari 458 is supposed to be LeBron’s daily driver. While the red paint looks like Ferrari red, it’s actually a couple of shades darker and is a unique factory color to LeBron’s 458.
Chevy Camaro SS
LeBron likes white paint for his vehicles. This Camaro features a flat-white finish. The heavy black outlines for body panels add interest to the overall design. The custom rims are powder-coated in white and are 22-inches in diameter. The tinted windows contrast nicely with the body of the Camaro.
Kia K900
Yeah, we know this smells of a promo and probably is. A Twitter storm developed around whether LeBron actually drove this sedan. Former teammate Richard Jefferson has footage he posted of LeBron driving his Kia which put rumors to rest. He held onto it nonetheless. He claims he was driving one of these K900s before he ever became a professional basketball player. Whatever the history he drives this white K990 frequently according to friends.
Porsche 911 Turbo S
This is another car LeBron has been photographed in or around a lot. With a list price of over $160,000, it will hit from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. He loved this Porsche so much he bought a Porsche Panamera for his mother.
Ferrari 559
Yet, another Ferrari. This time it’s a 559 which means it’s powered by a 6.0-liter V12 delivering 600 hp. 0-60 is 3.2-seconds. The Ferrari came from LeBron’s favorite auto dealership which is Unique Autoshops. This is the third Ferrari he has purchased from the dealer.
Rolls Royce Phantom
This was a gift by another NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal. Rollers are the epitome of luxury and elegance. With 563 hp from a 6.7-liter V8, this is a massive and impressive luxury sedan. Everyone knows a Roller when they see one.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
This top-of-the-line Wrangler can’t be matched for fun and performance. Especially when he pulls the doors and top off of this off-roader. As with all of his other rides this one really stands out with its burnt orange finish and 38-inch tall off-road tires.
