When picking out a new truck, you likely have specific features in mind that you’d like to have. But the 2019 Nissan Titan has five trims and comes in 18 different configurations. What are the Titan’s standard features for some of these options? Read on to see.

The Nissan Titan’s exterior

The five trims are S, SV, SV Midnight Edition, PRO-4X, SL, SL Midnight Edition, and Platinum Reserve. There is also the nearly heavy-duty Titan XD. All trim levels have Crew Cab as a body option. The S and SV trims have a Single Cab option, and the S, SV, and PRO-4X trim have a King Cab option.

The S and SV trims both have 18-inch wheels, but the S has silver steel wheels and the SV has painted aluminum wheels. The SL trim comes with heated power remote side mirrors, running boards, and LED headlights. The Platinum Reserve trim is similar to the SL, although it has colored bumpers rather than chrome. The PRO-4X has a black grille with gray bumpers. It has halogen headlights but also has delay-off headlamps, front fog lights, and integrated turn signals on the side mirrors.

The Midnight Edition is available on either the SV or SL trims. This switches the exterior to a body-colored grille, black headlight accents, black exterior accents, and Midnight Edition badging. It also has black 20-inch wheels and black step rails.

The Nissan Titan’s interior

The trim levels have different interiors too. Cloth and vinyl seats are standard on the S trim. The SV, SV Midnight Edition, and PRO-4X have stain-resistant cloth seats, and the SL, SL Midnight Edition, and Platinum Reserve trims have leather-appointed seats. Heated front seats come with the SV, SL, and SL Midnight Edition, while heated and ventilated front seats come with the Platinum Reserve trim. The rear outboard seats are heated in the Platinum Reserve, SL Midnight Edition, and the SL trims.

All trim levels come with a standard seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A Fender 12-speaker stereo with subwoofer comes on the SL, SL Midnight Edition, and Platinum Reserve trims.

The S and SV both have a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, but the SV also has lit mirrors on the visors and overhead console storage. The S trim has vinyl and rubber flooring, while the SV and higher trims have carpet. The SL trim has a number of upgrades from the S and SV, including automatic air conditioning, full floor console, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The Platinum Reserve trim includes wood trim on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, which is also heated. The PRO-4X comes with an overhead console storage area plus lit vanity mirrors. It has carpeted floors and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Midnight Edition has slight differences from the SV and SL trims and includes charcoal pillar trim, headliner, and charcoal trim in the cabin. 

The Nissan Titan’s powertrain

There is only one engine option for the Titan. All trims have the 5.6-liter 32-valve V-8 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It has 390 horsepower and 394 lb.-ft. of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard for most trims, although all-wheel drive is an option. The all-wheel drive does come standard on the PRO-4X trim.

The Nissan Titan’s safety features

The Titan doesn’t offer some advanced safety features. It does come standard with six airbags, vehicle dynamic control, a traction control system, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, and a tire pressure monitoring system with easy-fill tire alert. Higher-level trims come with Nissan Intelligent Mobility features, including a 360-degree view around the truck with Intelligent Around View Monitor, blind-spot warning, and a rear cross-traffic alert. The upcoming 2020 Nissan Titan is expected to include additional advanced safety features.
