The Ford F-150 has been America’s best-selling pickup truck for decades. It comes with lots of configurations and options. But, if you’re in the market for a new truck designed for extreme off-road driving, you’re probably wondering what the F-150 Raptor’s standard features are.

The Raptor’s exterior features

Exterior features on the Raptor contribute to its rugged look and feel. It has a wider body than the usual F-150 and has its own unique grille featuring Ford block letters. It comes standard with multiple hooks for front towing, rear towing, and for cargo box tie-down. Running boards are standard as well. The SuperCab body comes with a 170-degree rear door.

The Raptor has a number of available exterior options, including a windshield wiper de-icer. Buyers can also request LED lighting in the box, letting them see at night or under a tonneau cover. There can also be LED spotlights on the side mirrors to help with nighttime work. And a tailgate step with tailgate lift assist makes it easier to climb into the bed and also easier to lift the tailgate.

The Raptor’s interior features

The Raptor has a number of standard interior features, but some of the luxury features are optional. Standard features include a touchscreen infotainment system called Sync 3, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition to Sync 3 and AM/FM Radio, the Raptor comes with SiriusXM Satellite Radio and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Raptor also has automatic high beams. Cloth seats are standard and the rear seats have a 60/40 flip-up split bench. Leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated front seats are optional. Other options include a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and a 360-degree camera with split-view display, which uses four cameras to see around the truck.

The Raptor’s power and handling features

The Raptor’s great powertrain and off-road capabilities are all standard. It has a high-output 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This gives it 350 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. All this power means it can go from zero to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. The Raptor is able to tow up to 8,000 pounds and haul up to 1,200 pounds.

The Raptor comes with Trail Control, a cruise control system used for low-traction, off-road terrain. Once you set the speed, the Trail Control system controls acceleration and braking of the wheels individually. This allows the driver to put all of his or her attention into steering. It also has FOX live valve monotube racing shocks, which have technology allowing them to perform well on changing off-road terrain.

The Raptor includes the Torque-On-Demand transfer case, which automatically applies torque as needed to the front or rear. The electronic-locking rear differential can lock the rear axle for improved wheel grip. And the Terrain Management System™ lets the driver select the appropriate drive mode: Normal, Sport, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Deep Snow/Sand, Baja, or Rock Crawl.

The truck is ready for off-roading with large BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires. It comes standard with 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with high-gloss machined face and magnetic-painted pockets. There is the option to switch to 17-inch forged aluminum bead-lock capable wheels instead.

The Raptor’s safety features

A number of safety features are included standard on the Raptor. This includes forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking as well as a reverse sensing system, which makes a sound to help prevent the truck from backing into objects. It also comes with a rearview camera with dynamic hitch assist, AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, and Curve Control.

For wheel safety, it includes four-wheel anti-lock brakes plus the Tire Pressure Monitoring System/ There are optional safety upgrades that can be added. The lane keeping system alerts the driver if the Raptor starts drifting out of the lane. A coffee cup icon appears after multiple drifts, letting the driver know it’s time for a break. And there is an optional Blind Spot Information System with Trailer Coverage.

The Raptor’s packages

The Raptor comes with two standard packages: Ford Telematics™ Prep and Trailer Tow Package. There are also three optional packages: Exterior “RAPTOR” Graphics Package, Hood Graphics Package, and Raptor Technology Package. And there are two optional interior packages: Carbon Fiber Package and Blue Interior Accent Package.

The Raptor’s accessories

The Raptor comes standard with wheel well liners, but it has a number of optional accessories that buyers can select. Most are for the bed, with a bed divider, drop-in bed liner, foldable pickup box bed extender, and spray-in bedliner available. To cover the bed, either a hard or a soft folding tonneau pickup box cover can be added. Additional accessory options include an aluminum crossbed storage toolbox by Weather Guard® as well as stowable loading ramps.

With a starting price of $53,205, the Ford F-150 Raptor is a serious contender for off-road enthusiasts, with a plethora of standard features.
