GMC is reconfiguring the Yukon, and everyone’s jaws are on the floor at the announcement of key enhancements and features to come. Consumers may get the beefy, yet refined powerhouse performer they’ve always wanted. And it’s coming this year. We sorted through the details provided with GMC’s latest announcement to learn more about Yukon, Yukon XL, Denali, and the all-new AT4.

The latest announcement from GMC

Duncan Aldred, Vice President of Global Buick and GMC, announced the next generation Yukon in Vail, Colorado, last week. The Yukon and Yukon XL are planning to offer enhancements in a variety of areas, including technology, capability, and premium features. Also coming for Yukon is an all-new Denali, with hefty upscaling from previous Denalis. The most exciting news for some consumers is the introduction of the all-new AT4. Meaning, the Yukon will offer a configuration designed precisely for off-roading monster capability.

General improvements on the way

Consumers can expect a full roster of amazing developments for the 2021 Yukon lineup in general. All-new interiors will feature an available sliding console, nine camera views, and High Definition Surround Vision technology. You’ll be able to choose the 15-inch heads-up display that shows speed, navigation, and safety alerts.

Get ready for the most powerful engine in the full-size SUV class. Yukon will be bringing a brand new 6.2L V8 harnessing 420 horses in tandem with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The Active Response 4WD System is all-new, and towing will be a breeze with GMC’s ProGrade trailering platform. Hauling, climbing, and overall performance is going to be out of this world.

What Denali will be bringing to the table

Denali enthusiasts are going to want to find ways to get this 2021 GMC Yukon in their garages. When you think Denali, you expect the highest quality and top-notch features. You won’t be disappointed with the latest revisions. In addition to some of the previously mentioned upgrades, Denali will offer premium 22-inch wheel options, panoramic sunroof, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, and High Definition Surround Vision Camera. It’s hard to imagine a more impressive version of Denali, but it’s real, and it’s coming soon.

The look of the Denali is getting an upgrade too. The chrome grille you love is going to be more detailed and home to over 10,000 reflective surfaces. In other words, your Denali’s teeth are going to sparkle when she smiles. Advanced lighting tech is also a prominent feature, with the best of LED engineering and placement for the head, tail, fog, and running lights. You’ll also have a choice of four impressive new color schemes for the interior character of your Denali. GMC is giving consumers the palette, to allow them to customize their personalities in their SUVs.

GMC has created the solution to the full-size SUV deficit. Yukon AT4 will go anywhere you want to go.

Mark your calendars

With this recent announcement from GMC, a rough timeline to launch is set. The all-new 2021 Yukon will begin production in the General Motors plant in Arlington, Texas. Officials expect the SUVs will go on sale as soon as this summer. So, you’ll have plenty of summer mud time to enjoy a new AT4.

GMC is stepping up its game for the flagship Yukon and Yukon XL. Reviewers and consumers alike are going to be chomping at the bit to get behind the wheel. If the actual product is anything like what the officials have been highlighting, consumers are in for a fun and premium SUV option this summer.
