Cloud-based connectivity with Sync 4 and Sync 4A is for keeping you informed. More specifically, it stays updated with navigation changes like the weather, traffic, construction zones, parking availability, and EV charging station availability. Ford offers two navigation programs that work the same way. The first is Connected Navigation with a 90-day trial, and the other is Connected Built-In Navigation with three years of complimentary service. Both systems are available on the F-150 and Bronco, and the latter is standard on the Mustang Mach-E.
In addition, Ford models now have the capability of receiving over-the-air updates. With little or no action by the owner, the automaker can automatically update the vehicle’s software. Fixing an infotainment bug or adding new functionality does not require a dealer visit.
