The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is one of the quickest road cars on the market. MotorTrend calls it a “benchmark Ferrari” due to its staggering figures. First, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the quickest road car the marque has ever sold. That’s no easy feat considering its siblings like the LaFerrari and 812 Superfast. 

Ferrari claimed it could hit 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds, but it managed to hit that speed in just over 2.0 seconds. That makes it even quicker than the fully-setup Dodge SRT Demon and its mind-blowing 2.3-second sprint. A nearly two-second sprint easily secures the SF90 as the fastest Ferrari to 60 mph record.

Is the SF90 the most powerful Ferrari?

As you might imagine, it takes the most powerful road-going Ferrari to accelerate so quickly. The SF90 produces 986 horsepower from its hybrid V8 platform. If that number wasn’t enough to earn some raised eyebrows, MotorTrend says it’s the first flagship Ferrari since the beloved F40 to ditch the V12. The twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 behind the operator produces 769 horsepower, and its three electric motors take care of the rest. 

Also, the manner in which the marque creates and delivers the power is nothing short of science fiction. The most powerful of its electric motors, the P1 e-motor, sits between the high-revving V8 and eight-speed DCT transmission. Better yet, MotorTrend says that the engineers lovingly nicknamed the squished, power-happy electric unit the “pizza motor.”

What is the fastest Ferrari ever?

The SF90 Stradale is the quickest, most powerful, and one of the fastest road cars around a track Ferrari has ever made. However, the SF90 has a straight-line top speed of 211 mph. U.S. News says that the similarly-hybrid-powered LaFerrari could hit around 213 mph. Still, the highest top speed belongs to the venerable Ferrari Enzo, which could hit a claimed 218 mph. 

Of course, the bragging rights belong to the SF90 because the Enzo would have an impossible time keeping up with the newer, more powerful hybrid at a track. Also, the Enzo would be hopeless to catch the SF90’s sprint to 60 mph and the quarter mile.
